The Dream Giver

Today we watched a short clip about the Dream Giver. We had to write a response about the Dream Giver.

In a town there were some little children who were sleeping in an orphanage. Then a boy fairy came to the orphanage with some dream eggs. The fairy cracked the egg on a picture in a book causing the boy who saw the picture to have a wonderful dream about it. The Dream Giver left some eggs on a bed and the boy knocked the eggs onto a book and the entire book went into his dream. His dream turned into a nightmare! He dreamt he knocked a template and woke a massive dragon that tried to eat him up.

Why Do We Go To School

Why do we go to school for almost one week?

We go to school so we can educate ourselves for future jobs. We also go to school so we can make some friends. If we didn’t have any friends it would be boring. When I’m at school I like having friends so I wont be so lonely.

We go to school to find out about new things, such as our local community and even global issues.

At school we try to acquire skills for the future. If we have the right skills then we should know how to solve problems or how to find an answer.

When we go to school we could be inspired by our teacher or some past teachers that we have had. We might hear a story that inspired us to do a global action. At school we also learn to express ourselves and develop our thinking. We all learn something new every day at school. At school we might learn something that we have already learnt, but that is alright because if we forget it will help us revise our learning. All of this is why we go to school!

Remembrance Day 2014

My Mother’s Eye’s

Today is remembrance day and we read a story about a boy going to war. this my reflection of the story.

There was a boy that helped him mum and his gram pa. He left school when he was 14 to help keep the farm in good care for his mum and looked after his gram pa. all of his friends went to the next year in school.

When he was only 16 he left home and to the train station that went to war. he said to the war manger “i’m 18″and went to war. he would send letters to his mum about what he was doing. But a couple years later he sent his last letter to his gram pa and this is what it said.

On the third page this is what it says

And should the worst happen, I have had a good life. I have learnt much about life and I don’t understand thus war. I have learnt to be a man through all of this though and I will do what must be done for have learnt to see life through my mothers eye’s I have to go now.

Land slides occur very quickly about avalanche speeds. In landslides masses of rocks earth or debris go down down a slope. Other debris are saturated of water. The water builds up into the ground when heavy rain occurs.

This is the worst landslide in 1920

Kansu, China

This happened in 1920. over 180,000 people died.

My postive Action

My positive action was body intelligence, I did this with a friend of mine. Our action was helping our sport teacher pack up and start her lesson. She was really happy that we help her.

My School Holidays

On my Holidays I went to Yarrawonga and Lake Mulwala. There were lots of things to do at Capri Waters Resort such as mini golf, swimming, boat hiring and playing tennis. Our family nearly did every thing there in a week but we didn’t hire a boat. There were lots of restaurants that had delicious food. We went to Corowa Chocolate and Winery factory a got to make a big delicious chocolate freckle and received a free rocky road and drink.
